Sponsoring companies can purchase spots in the tournament and then offer them to individuals of their choosing. Once the spots have been purchased, the company must provide the registrants with their Sponsor Code.
These spots are allotted to players who are being sponsored by a business. In order to register, the player’s sponsoring business must have purchased the spot and provided the registrant with the valid Sponsor Code.
These spots are allotted to players who have been drawn for permanently. New positions open up if a current permanent player has a bye, leaves the oilfield industry, retires or passes away. Permanent players are allowed to be a “bye” twice before losing their permanent spot.
Businesses who are interested in becoming a Sponsoring Company may purchase a spot on the Standby list for a non-refundable $260 fee. The company will retain its position on the standby list provided the position is renewed each year.
If you are not a sponsored player or a permanent player, please click here to access the Standby Registration page. Please note: a standby registration in no way guarantees a spot in the tournament! You will not be billed unless you are notified that a spot is available.
